Exploring Different Types of Poles for the Nordic Trainer

When it comes to cross-country skiing, having the right equipment is crucial for an enjoyable and efficient experience. Ski poles play a significant role in maintaining balance, propulsion, and overall performance. In this blog post, we will delve into the topic of ski pole height, with a specific focus on the Nordic Trainer. Additionally, we will discuss the different types of ski poles available, including adjustable poles and our high-performance pro poles made with 80% carbon.

Height of Pro Poles

Our pro poles are designed to enhance your Nordic Trainer sessions and offer exceptional durability and performance. Choosing the correct pole height is essential for optimal technique and comfort. Generally, the recommended height for pro poles is your own height minus 35 cm. For example, if you are 180 cm tall, the ideal pole length for you would be 145 cm. Our pro poles are available in various lengths, including 130 cm, 135 cm, 145 cm, 150 cm, 155 cm, and 160 cm. While an exact match is not mandatory, selecting the appropriate length will significantly impact your skiing experience. Using Poles in the Studio:

For those training in our studio, we offer three standard pole heights: 130 cm, 140 cm, and 150 cm. It's important to note that the pole height in the studio setting may be slightly more approximate compared to using the Nordic Trainer at home. If you are visiting the studio for the first time, one of our friendly receptionists will guide you to the pole closet and help determine the ideal pole height based on your measurements. This will ensure that you get the right poles and good first experience at Nordic Strong!

Making Your Own Poles:

At our Nordic Trainer facility, we understand that some individuals may prefer using their own cross-country skiing poles. If you already own carbon poles and wish to utilize them with the Nordic Trainer, you can easily do so. Simply purchase our pole tips, which are specifically designed to fit on carbon poles. We provide a helpful video tutorial demonstrating how to attach the pole tips, ensuring a seamless integration between your existing equipment and our Nordic Trainer.
